ROTA Nanny Needed for UHNW Family

We are seeking a career Nanny to join a well-established UHNW private household in the Pacific Palisades. This role supports a dynamic, fully staffed home and two-year-old child(ren), and is ideal for a polished professional who thrives in a high-standards, highly structured environment and is comfortable pivoting quickly as schedules and needs evolve.

This is a ROTA-based role requiring flexibility beyond scheduled shifts, including availability for overtime, schedule changes, and domestic and international travel. The family travels frequently via private aviation, and prior experience supporting UHNW families with complex logistics is essential.

This is a collaborative, professional household with a strong sense of camaraderie. The nanny will be part of a larger on-site team. Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, developmentally appropriate care for toddlers (currently age 2)
  • Prepare and serve meals, snacks, formula, or breast milk per parental and pediatric guidance
  • Maintain consistent sleep routines, including naps and bedtime schedules
  • Change diapers/ assist with potty training
  • Bathe, dress, and maintain hygiene standards
  • Create and execute structured, screen-free lesson plans focused on cognitive, physical, and emotional development
  • Incorporate Montessori, RIE, Waldorf, or similar philosophies into daily activities
  • Track and document feeding, sleep, activities, and developmental milestones
  • Administer medication as prescribed
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with parents and household leadership
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized child environment
  • Launder and care for children’s clothing, bedding, and related items
  • Travel domestically and internationally with the family as needed
  • Collaborate seamlessly with on-site household team and the team of nannies
  • Adapt quickly to changing schedules, travel plans, and household priorities
  • Additional ad hoc responsibilities as requested

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional nanny experience in private households
  • International travel experience is required; familiarity with private aviation strongly preferred
  • Background in Montessori, RIE, Waldorf, or similar early childhood philosophies
  • Associate’s degree minimum (Early Childhood Education preferred)
  • CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required
  • TrustLine registration preferred
  • Passport-ready and willing to travel
  • Strong physical stamina: must be able to navigate a multi-level home, swim confidently, and keep up with an active household
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to anticipate needs
  • Comfortable pivoting quickly and operating in a fast-moving environment
  • Polished communication skills and strong emotional intelligence; must “read the room” well
  • Tech-savvy; comfortable using tools such as Slack and Teamwork
  • Spanish language skills preferred but not required
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality
  • Annual COVID and flu vaccinations required
  • Willingness to wear a work uniform
  • Ability to pass an in-depth background check and provide excellent references

Location: Pacific Palisades, CA (with travel to additional residences)

Compensation: $45–$50/hour DOE + excellent benefits, bonus potential, PTO, 401(k) match, and additional perks

  • Schedule: Five consecutive workdays followed by three days off
  • Shift Length: 8 hours per shift, including a 30-minute unpaid meal break
  • Rotating Shifts:
  • Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 P
  • Evening Shift: 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM

Overnights: Not required unless traveling or specifically requested

Must be fully flexible outside of scheduled shifts as needed
