As a 2nd Purser Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the ship's clearance at every port of call is seamless. Your expertise in preparation and communication will be key to meeting custom and immigration requirements efficiently, ensuring that both guests and crew members can proceed ashore with no challenges.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and planning in advance to ensure efficient vessel clearance for guests and crew upon arrival and departure at ports; managing all clearance-related matters and maintaining communication with port agents.
• Ensuring visitor lists are accurate and up-to-date, and that port authorities are informed accordingly.
• Facilitating the prompt processing of legal documents (guest manifest; crew list) with port authorities; preparing all necessary paperwork for compliance with safety regulations and international requirements.
• Managing guest passports and overseeing immigration inspections to ensure all guests meet the visa requirements for each port-of-call.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with port agents and local authorities to ensure smooth operations during port calls.
• Assisting with check-in procedures on embarkation day.
• Collaborating with the Guest Services Manager, Hotel Purser, Medical Team, and HR Manager on guest and crew medical disembarkations.
• And other related duties as assigned.

Your profile should include:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the Pursers Department onboard a ship.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• In-depth knowledge of clearance and visa requirements in international waters for guests and crew members is essential.
• Fluency in English with excellent oral and written communication skills; the ability to speak an additional language is an advantage.
• Experience in leading multi-cultural teams; being flexible, stress-resistant, and a committed team player.
• Strong accounting and administration skills are preferred; proficiency with PC-based databases, spreadsheets, and word processing systems is required.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining a guest-focused, positive, and professional demeanor with impeccable hygiene standards.
• Capability to handle all communications confidentially, including written correspondence, emails, and phone interactions.
• No visible tattoos.
