The Property Tax Senior Consultant (Sr Consultant) works with a team to identify tax savings opportunities for clients and to understand how the client computes all facets of the property tax. Functions include technical research, database reconciliation, and data analytics.

The ideal candidate will have analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with strong people skills. The successful candidate will be able to research issues, prepare property tax compliance filings, reconcile databases, and complete detailed calculations. Duties and Responsibilities

People

  • Respond to client inquiries and requests from tax authorities

Education

  • Possess a BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Real Estate, or similar; a masters degree or JD is a plus
  • Must have 6 hours of coursework in Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, or Finance with a GPA of 3.0 or higher; Major GPA of 3.25 or higher
  • Relevant work experience preferred (e.g., internships, summer positions, school jobs)
  • Previous property tax experience desired projections/forecasts, compliance, valuation analytics, negotiation or appeal support

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Advanced Excel skills VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, PivotTables, macros, formulas
  • Bias for action communicate work status proactively

Work Environment

  • Standard indoor environment
  • Regular interaction with employees, clients, and external vendors in person, email, and phone
  • Travel up to 10-20%
