Position: Project Manager, Commercial

Reports to: Program Manager, Commercial

Compensation*: Starting salary range $70,200 - $87,000 commensurate with skills and experience. Full compensation range: $70,200 - $103,800

Our Location

Energy Trust provides for a range of work location options, including remote, hybrid and in-office work. This position will represent Energy Trust in public settings and potentially at community events. We are open to candidates who live throughout Oregon and Washington. The Project Manager – Commercial would be expected to report to the office on a quarterly basis, at minimum.

What We’re Looking For:

The Project Manager – EPM (Energy Performance Management) Commercial is responsible for project managing the Building Performance Standard (BPS) work across the organization, Commercial Operations & Maintenance offerings and any associated workforce development efforts. This position is responsible for providing project management support for the EPM Commercial Program Manager.

This position will work closely with the EPM Program Manager to coordinate with multiple staff, the Program Management Contractor (PMC) and stakeholders; building and maintaining project schedules and organizing information for stakeholders to easily access.

What You’ll Do:

•Coordinate with the EPM Program Manager to manage multiple facets of work related to Building Performance Standards, Operations and Maintenance, and workforce development.

•Oversee work of Program Management Contractors in support of program initiatives and approved work, exercising delegated authority.

•Work with EPM Program Manager, PMC and stakeholders to develop and maintain project timelines and track deliverables.

•Support implementation of BPS and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) offerings, applying best practices for project management and quality assurance, ensuring efforts meet internal and external financial, audit, evaluation, and public communication requirements.

•Identify key deliverables and ensure projects and initiatives meet goals.

•Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from staff, contractors, customers and other stakeholders.

•Assist with audits of program files and user requests.

•Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from contractors and customers, providing technical assistance, problem solving and positive resolutions

•Represent Energy Trust’s program offerings and initiatives in public settings to customers, contractors and stakeholders.

•Maintain accurate and organized records of project information.

•Perform all functions of the job in a safe manner.

•Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

•This position may direct the work of external and agency contractors.

•This position may direct project work with cross-functional team members.

Requirements

What You’ll Need:

•Bachelor’s degree (engineering, science, economics, finance, business, environmental science, public policy or architecture preferred), equivalent experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge and skills to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.

•Knowledge of and experience interpreting building code and/or environmental policies

•Minimum of three years’ experience managing program initiatives or project management.

•Excellent interpersonal communication skills and writing abilities.

•Demonstrated ability to work constructively with parties that may have divergent interests.

•Familiarity with and experience applying practices of community and/or equity centered design and engagement preferred.

•Must be able to interact with a diverse workforce and be comfortable working in culturally diverse settings and groups.

•Successful experience working with cross-functional teams.

•Project and contract management skills.

•Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word software applications.

•Experience using project management software such as Asana and/or Smartsheet preferred.

•Strong technical aptitude.
