Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner Opportunity - $30,000 Sign-On Bonus

This full-time position for a Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner in Danbury, CT, provides outpatient care from Monday to Friday, with no evening, weekend, or on-call duties. Hematology/Oncology Advanced Practitioner (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant) – Danbury, CT
Our organization is excited to present a full-time opportunity for a Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in Danbury, Connecticut. This role operates on a Monday through Friday schedule, primarily focusing on outpatient care, with no evening, weekend, or on-call responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will be a board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with prior experience in hematology/oncology, eager to join a supportive and collaborative team. Required qualifications include formal training as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, a valid Connecticut state license, and Federal DEA and CT Controlled Substance Registration. We provide a highly competitive compensation package along with allowances for CMEs and professional dues.
Our well-established practice consists of seven physicians and four Advanced Practitioners, located within the Praxair Cancer Center on the Danbury Hospital campus. We deliver multidisciplinary cancer care, collaborating with various specialties, including Surgical and Medical Subspecialties, Radiation Oncology, and Palliative Care. Additionally, we offer services in Diagnostic Imaging, Cancer Genetics, Radiation Therapy, Cancer Research and Trials, as well as Psychological and Social Support Services. Our employed practice caters to a diverse range of Hematology/Oncology patients in both office and hospital settings.
Founded in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital that provides residents of the Greater Danbury area with convenient access to exceptional healthcare. The facility has 371 beds and serves as a Level II Trauma Center, handling approximately 70,000 emergency department visits annually. As a teaching hospital, we maintain affiliations with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Ross University, American University of the Caribbean, and Yale School of Medicine. Our Medical Group comprises over 900 physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a wide geographical area across Western Connecticut and eastern New York.
Danbury, Connecticut, is situated in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains, bordering New York State, approximately 60 miles northeast of New York City and 60 miles west of Hartford, CT. As part of the greater New York metropolitan area, Danbury offers both the cultural benefits of proximity to New York City and a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, fishing, and boating in local parks and preserves. The surrounding area features charming towns with picturesque New England landscapes, providing excellent housing and schooling options. Salary: $105,000 - $150,000 per year (based on experience)
