This position is located at the Orlando International Airport in Orlando, Florida. MCO AB Terminal. Responsibilities include proficiency with all BHS and related electrical/mechanical equipment and components including industrial controls; providing detailed maintenance data input into CMMS system; troubleshooting, problem solving, diagnostic & root cause analyses including repairs for electrical, mechanical and controls equipment; replacing encoders, photo eyes, heads and controllers for various BHS equipment; inspecting power circuits and electrical wiring for troubleshooting and repair; monitoring and analyzing daily operations and data statistics of the baggage system for corrective action; overseeing maintenance programs including reactive, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance; providing emergency/unscheduled and scheduled maintenance repairs; driving and operating equipment such as golf carts, company vehicles, forklifts; reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders; supporting operations with clearing bag jams; complying with company safety programs and trainings; and performing other duties as assigned. Physical demands include standing, walking, handling, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, climbing, balancing, and lifting/moving up to 49 pounds. Work environment includes exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, outside weather, fumes, chemicals, cold, vibration, and loud noise. Qualifications include High School Diploma or GED, valid driver license, 5+ years experience in equipment maintenance, mechanic skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair, intermediate understanding of PLC Control systems a plus, familiarity with airport operations a plus, computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics, leadership and communication skills, ability to be badged for secure airport areas, and ability to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.
